Today, African people live in every corner of the world. This extended community of indiviuals is know as the African diaspora. A diaspora is a population of people who have been displaced from their traditional homeland.

 

The novelist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie grew up in Nigeria and has written about the experience of Africans living outside of the continent.
